I have two main updates to share regarding a Loft update and a new 3-D printer!
First, my 3-D mesh creation software, Loft, just released version 4.0. It is available for free by request at https://software.nasa.gov/software/LAR-20673-1 . The 200 page manual with an overview and lots of examples is available also for free at https://ntrs.nasa.gov/citations/20250008940 . It has lots of new features including new object types, support for more wing shapes, and a lot more support for finite element structural modeling.
The second update is that I just upgraded my 3-D printer to a Prusa Core One. This is a big upgrade with lots of new features and capabilities. I am currently learning how to use a non-PLA filament – PETG in my case. PETG is not all that exotic a material but it is my first foray into the wide world of material options. The printer’s enclosure allows me a lot of material choices that I will gradually explore.
